Morning All, I'm up very early and I don't like it! Anyway, that'll give me more time to look up the Scottish enquiries. Heeee, guess what I'll be doing in the office today, heeee) 49 Sleeps. Yes, Rebs, you do get images on Scotland People, so I'll see what I can find for you. Anna, you've thrown me a curve ball with your O'Connor, but I'll keep trying (Oconnor, Connor, etc.) Heather, I've found Andrew Ramage's birth and have saved the image for you and will send shortly. He was actually born in 1864. Still working on the Murdochs. I will work on all the other requests today and get back to everyone. Chat soon, Lew Lew with the Scottish Credits!

Rebs, here's your marriage, but you're going to have to order the Certificate from the Scottish GRO: 1 09/02/1753 CAMPBELL ARCHIBALD MARGARET STEWART/ M FORTINGALL 355/A0 0001 Tony, your Margaret Bailey/ee is proofing elusive. Have only found 1 born between 1855 and 1865, but parents are John and Margaret (Gray), but will keep hunting. Might be able to track them down from the Census. Sue, can't find any marriage of an Adam Elphinstone to an Elizabeth Anderson. Only marriage listed: 23/12/1847 ELPHINSTONE ADAM JANET ELDER/ M AVOCH 059/00 0002 Also, the only Adam Elphinstone birth I can find is as follows: 20/06/1822 ELPHINSTONE ADAM JAMES ELPHINSTONE/JANET MC KINZIE U RESOLIS 079/00 0002 Heather, Here is Robert Murdoch's birth: 15/10/1826 MURDOCH ROBERT, Father JOHN MURDOCH/ELISABETH LAMBIE FR952 M OLD CUMNOCK Image not available on line, you'll have to apply for it. Trifley, I've found Jeanie's death certificate, but it does not mention where she was buried. Do you have the certificate? If not, I can send it to you. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Okay, suppose I'd better get ready for 'work' haaa heee. Lew Lew xxx

Morning all, Ooooo entered in my Burtons on genes tree and now I have them coming out my ears with hot matches! Knew that would happen. (which is why I don't have much of my tree on Genes!) I think I'll just wait for them to contact me :) Waiting this week for a cousin of John's to go to Gosford Historical Society to see if the Kimmisters in their historical records can make a proven match with the Kilminster convict. Hoping, hoping....................... They have a book done of pioneers of the area but I don't want to buy it unless there is a proven link! Busy day today so I'd better go and start. ~~~~~~~~Vonny

Boy, Chicken Herder, could you have made it any more difficult!!! Can't find any of your deaths, no William Baird matching your description on the 1881 census. There is a Jane Baird, Paisley, widowed, living with daughter Jane. Ring a bell? Lew lew xxx

Good morning all . . . you been a busy girl Lew, I got a bit sad when I went as far as I could on the site - its such a good one isn't it. My Forsyths, McKenzies and Robbs spoilt me - like I said the other day, I think we should petition the Federal Govt for a National system based on Scotpeeps model. Its a wonderful day on the Bay, dull and grey outside, No giraffes having time out, no sun, bit chilly . . . . But . . . Ray is coming home early . . . yipee !! Been on the wait list and got a confirmation so he will be in Sunday morning early instead of Monday. So Mothers Day is looking a little brighter than it was yesterday. I was going to slip out to the records office again today for a few hours - but change of plans! I'm off to New Zealand in a couple of days - that crept up quick! Mind you, I know where I would prefer to be going - Dubai, but the trade show there is on same time as Rays prior commitment in New Zealand so our friends in Jakarta get that trip for themselves. Now Dubai . . . there's Bling !!!! Von, at least the Burtons aren't Smith & Jones . . . I deleted those names from my tree on here, and just do individual searches every now and then to see if I find a match. I keep telling Ray its his fault because they are on his side. Joodles one of those books I ordered at the library arrived yesterday - The history of Kyneton 1839 - 1980, will get it today and take it with me to NZ - let you know if there is anything in it relevant to our Gleesons/Conways. Be nice if the Cobb & Co one arrived too! Song for Lew . . . Its a little bit closer forty nine days Then I'm out the door mates on retirement daa ay ! . . . . . Have a good one all cheers luv Laurie

Shazz, I had trouble at first. I loaded the viewer as suggested but I didn't need it. Uninstall everything (check in programs) and just start with the first of the discs themselves (not the viewer). I had no trouble and just need to insert the discs when I'm hunting. ~~~~~~~~~Vonny who wasn't here :)

Awww sorry Miss Mudgee ....... why d'ya think I arst ya pmsl. Yes, Jane Baird is Williams wife, and the daughter Jane is hers. .. I didn't have a death date for Willam Baird, so wasnt aware that he wouldnt be around for the 81 census. .... The Laughlans are a nuisance in that the name is spelt to many different ways Loughlin/Laughlin/Lachlan and so on. .. but seriously Lew, thanks for your help. Love Jood

Lewella Report 12 May 2006 01:11

Okay C.H. I'll send you the 1881 census image and try and find William's death. While I've still got a few credits, I'll try and locate your Laughlan's under other spellings. Lew Lew xxx
