Oh, what is their problem! Small minds!!! I take a day off to shop (report follows) and I return to disappearing threads. How pathetic. Anyway, Laurie, I'm glad you love Paris. It's one of my favourites. For sheer madness, try hiring a car. I did this with 3 friends and we got stuck on a roundabout, going 'round & 'round & 'round, killing ourselves laughing with all the french drivers laughing at us! It was a hoot. Hey, wait until you see the Mona Lisa. It's so small! Sorry if I confused you Lara, but don't be surprised if the NC thread ends up deleted. Have you seen the goings on there lately? Now for the shopping. Yesterday we purchased a bedroom suite for us, one for the 2nd bedroom, a bedhead and bedside tables for the 3rd bedroom, 2 office desks, etc., with a bookcase and 2 (yes 2) bbqs and one of those outdoor gas heaters. Well, think about it, we'll need 2 bbqs if all you lot want to visit!. The house has 2 entertainment areas, one on the north side and one on the south and there is no way we can keep dragging one bbq back and forward. The man at BBQ's Galore was very, very happy and has thrown in lots of freebies. Everywhere we went, we were given really good deals. Our bed we got from Snooze is called 'Gelato' which is a suede bedhead and foot. The colour is called Storm - a dark grey, which will look fantastic against the purple wall. Everything is very modern, as our new house is construced of corrugated iron with angled roof lines. It's kind of shaped like a 'J' with the lap pool running up the middle. I promise I'll post some photos on GC shortly. Anyway, we're off to Sydney on Friday to purchase the lounge and dining room suites. God, I love spending money!!!! Pleased to see both my teams, Richmond Tigers (AFL) and Wests Tigers (NRL) doing so well this weekend. Having been born in Melbourne and growing up in Sydney, its just easy to say 'Go the Tigers'!!! Hope everybody is having a great weekend. Lew Lew xxx

Ooooooooooooooooh somebody's been out on the town - Im surprised you are up so early (9:43am) Rebs pms Your house sounds a dream Lew Lew - it must be such an exciting time for you. Hobbling around today, had a wart frozen off the ball of my foot - feeling a trifle sorry for myself (my excuse not to do any work) - but then I rarely do any anyway hahaha Have a great day everyone Jood

Julie Cat, laughing at the Rebs is not allowed this morning. I've come to the conclusion that no-one can drink like the Irish. There was this leprachaun(no, really, photos to prove it) who swallowed a pint of guinness every half an hour for the entire day. Drinking started at 11.30am when the parade fininshed. By 4 pm, he looked really out of it, and we were taking bets as to when he would keel over. 10pm and not only was he alive still, but he was singing and dancing (of sorts) balanced on a chair. And I don't know how much I drank during the day. you'd go round from group to group and if you happened to be there when they bought a round, they bought one for you as well. I think i actually bought 3 drinks for myself all day. And that was only a warm up, the real thing is next Friday. Been up since 7.30 Jood! Loading pics onto computer (so i can destroy the evidence) Oh, and I was blessed by St. Patrick....bless him.

Morning all, So Laurie now types in French? Didn't look that much different :) Thanks for the update. Sounds sooooo nice. Lew Lew, would love to see your house. Hope we do a meet there some time! hint hint to the rest :) Must go and visit Upper Whatsit again :) Hi Julie, nice to see you so often on our thread. :) Tony, don't bet your house because I did complain about one thread a few weeks ago! It was one of those early morning ones that were SO NASTY and vitriolic. (I got home from work early one afternoon) I was hoping that it would be gone before their morning but nooo nothing happened and it stayed on and caused no end of fuss as it was meant to. The title was deliberately nasty also, not just the thread. That of course was why it was put up, but I thought if one of us complained it might disappear before doing too much damage. Oh well, I thought it was worth a try at the time. Actually, the author has since disappeared. beautiful day in the capital, I should be outside doing some gardening :0 Vonny

Judy Report 12 Mar 2006 01:25

Reb - I just said something about Laurie using a french typewriter but obviously she cant speak french yet .... and I had every 'e' with a caret in it -french style- (I'd typed it up in word). But it came out like Lauri#2367 fr#0495 - you would not have understood what I was saying, so it backfired ! :-(( I tried to look up a french keyboard on the net so I could be smart, you see! Jood

I tripped over it when I staggered in early this morning but didn't pay any attention to it. Only just investigated the pile of bags on the floor. Brace yourself....... Just about everything is generic brand, from cereal, tinned foods, peanut butter. No one but him will eat them, cos they taste so bad. Crunchy peanut butter is okay. tinned spagetti looks so washed out I swear they only waved the tomatoes over the top of the pot. But.....then he went a bought not 1, but 6 tins of top shelf, expensive soup. Cream of f*cking celery!!! Who in the hell is going to eat that???water crackers....some bizarre gourmet flavour. We've instructed him muliple time not to try any of the gourmet flavours cos they usually taste like sh*t. conversation every two weeks for the last how many years? me...I need shower gel him.....what about this one me......can't use that one, it made me itch every time I've tried it. him.....oh okay, but it's cheap. me......probably why it makes me itch. Guess which shower gel he bought???? Doh!! toilet paper......he bought generic single ply. sorry, but since I have to wipe EVERY time I use the loo, I like to use paper which doesn't disintergrate in my hand during use. *apologies to anyone eating late breakfast* butter, not Western Star spreadable which I always buy, but farmland dairy blend, which needs to be taken out of fridge an hour before you need it. conversation last Thurday him........I got some sausages out of freezer. me....which ones? him....pork three of us......they were discusting, don't like pork sausages. him......I'll have to eat them myself then. HE BOUGHT PORK SAUSAGES!!! but the biggest crime of the lot. He bought generic choc crunch biscuits. Then put them in the choc monte wrapper in the fridge thinking me, a choc monte connoisseur, wouldn't notice the difference. STUPID MAN!! Everyone knows choc montes are covered in DARK chocolate!! Grrrrrrr!

Yes, well, Rebs. Does hubby think you're blond!!! He actually did that with the bikkies!!! Unbelieveable. My OH is very good at shopping. Only generic thing he buys is canned tomotes and they appear to be okay. I wonder whether Laurie watched 'Allo 'Allo before she left. Her french would have been very good, lol. Mudgee would be a great place for a Genes get together. Couldn't fit you all in the house, but we do have 25 acres to camp on only 7km from town. Perfect!!!! Also have outside shower near the pool, full indoor bathroom, separate toilet and, if all else fails, hire a portaloo. Hubby going back os next Feb, so maybe we should aim for then. Gets bl**dy hot, but at least we have the pool. What do you think? Laurie's niece lives in Mudgee, too. Lew Lew xxx

Unknown Report 12 Mar 2006 02:28

well Lew, every time i buy Montes he tries to get me to buy the homebrand copy because they are cheaper. I keep telling him they don't taste even remotely the same. I guess he thought he could fool me. Or he thought I'd be too hung over to notice. pmsl!!

Lewella Report 12 Mar 2006 02:36

Sorry, forgot to ask Rebs. How're the heads this arvo? Chocc Montes, yum. Purrfect cure for the hangover! Well, that plus a Baileys on Ice!!! Lew Lew xxx :-)

Sounds wunnerful Lew Lew - can't see meself camping any more - me camping days are over, (honest - and I have camped in every camping spot around Orstryalia too) but I will work something out. I'd better get cracking with the diet eh - unless you want the pool emptied in one . pmsl I'll have to practice reading a book with one hand and drinking chardonnay in the other like Lara does!!! Wont find that a hardship tho, will have to do it on dry land tho as I dont have a pool lol Rebs - you have my sympathy - I could think of nothing worse than all shop name brands, looks like ya going to have to donate all ya stuff to the next raffle - maybe Easter??? lol Jood

Hey Joodles, I'm sure for those who book real early, one of the two guest rooms await. Of course, if you don't mind sharing a queen size bed, I can fit 4 inside and several more on folding beds or foam mattresses. Lew Lew xxx

Hi wafflers I did my best yesterday.........I kept adding pleasent, friendly little snippets to the 'Scumbags' thread so's peeps would notice it but the 'powers that be' shafted it anyway :o) Hello to our new friend 'Fred'. I thought 'chuck' was something you did with a ball lol :o) Welcome to the nuttiest thread on the site. Hope you enjoy your stays with us. Tassie it looks as if your daughters have started their training for MYER annual sales stampedes lol. Hope they are both ok and not shaken up too much. It is something they will remember and was probably a good learning experience. Although not one they would want to repeat too often! Lew Lew ..... 'grey' and 'purple'............... hhmmm sounds.....interesting. Evidently you are not into pastels. That's our Crew.......bright, dynamic and bold! Looking forward to the piccies. Our traveling minstrel........Laurie in the heart of Da Vinci code country. If you've read the book you gotta take the tour. And don't be disappointed with the Mona Lisa.........I, too, have heard it's on the small side. A ride around 'around about' sounds like fun.......particularly if you go the other way lol. Would the French notice? Rebs. (typing quietly).....if you saw a leprachaun HOW MUCH were you drinking girl ??? Did he have his little pot of gold with him? Sounds as if you had a great time.....a dress rehersal for next Friday. ha ha he he. Hopalong Joodles...... how's the foot? You should be resting with it up on a pillow and being served cool drinks and chockies. Definetly no work for you for a few days! Men just don't understand the pain women go through (puts hand to brow and sighs...aaaahhhh) :o) No Tony.....you don't have to say anything funny......we women are saints!! Hi Lara.....are you up to speed today? ({oke, joke speed....Trifley bends over laughing at her own funnies} Um, yes well I thought it was funny. Where would we be without you......probably in the bin with the rest of the politically incorrect threads ha ha. What's that noise I hear.......? The lawn mower.....yayyyyy! That means hubby has finally got it started and is cutting thro' the undergrowth. We have had so much rain lately the grass has grown like weeds. Had better go and get a cool drink for him for the halfway mark. Toodle ooo all you wonderful wattlers. luv Trifley

Awww Trifely - my foot isnt really THAT sore - and no point either, coz there is no-one to pamper me ! Never mind. I can tolerate a lot of pain anyway. Mentally thinking of all the trips away, ahead of me - Canberra, Geelong, Forster, Mudgee oooooooooooooooooooh! Sounds good doesnt it! But meanwhile - the ironing still awaits me *deflate and come back to earth* :-(( Rudee hasnt surfaced yet, guess he's sleeping it off too (should we type softer, or bang harder ??) *asks innocently* Jood
