Sorry that grandfather is a 'brick-wall' in your research of your family. |

lol Sandie :-D I've tried many sites and I've had no end of help from people on these boards and from my local family history society. The best that we can come up with is that my greatgrandfather married a lady who already had a child, or children. But even my greatgrandfather, Joseph Mortimer, is elusive at the moment. He was a coach trimmer according to my grandparent's marriage certificate but was deceased at the time of my grandparents wedding. |

Allan - join us on another thread - we all have our brickwalls to contend with - but we have broken downs a few - my friend Evelyn has been trying to find a trace of her mothers birth cert for years - look it up on "trying tio find mother" lots of very good people on the boards are searching - its worth a try setting up one for Grandpa - I am also to be found on "Help us to help you three" we love a good mystery & a chat - if your depressed we cheer you up - or just listen - we share our joys & our sorrows - as someone said a few weeks ago - he spendt several hours reading through the thread - he laughed & cried with us - |

Hi Tabitha, I'll have a look :-). I did have a thread on 'Trying to find' but there was no success despite people from all over, including Canada (long story) trying to help :-( |
