Hi Tabitha, I had a look at the two sites. I already have a thread on 'Find Ancestors' but I may nudge it up for any newcomwers :-) :-)
Many people on the thread have tried to help, but with no success.

Next challenge, my maternal grandfather..I only know his surname :-(

Funny you should say that Tabitha, I'm Welsh and there isn't a Smith or Jones in my tree back as far as 1800, haven't done my hubby's yet

My OH has several Smiths and just found a couple of Jones - Edwards was his grandmothers name - so there is the start of the Welsh link

My Grandmother on my fathers side was a Smith - so my trail started very very early on

Bog-standard surnames in my family, but not made any simpler by the fact that my gt grandfather, Charles Coe, married Annie Coe who came from Cork. Coe was also her maiden name :-|
