What about 'splat take that'....on your clean windows

Woody is always on the front garden with his bird. We had his fav shrub (which was about 9ft tall) ripped up last year when we had the wall rebuilt

Ah...poor Woody

Mikey

You should never ALWAYS do anything...life would be sooo boring

I eats my veg/fruit and I only have one cup of tea in the morning and then its water all day

One more cuppa after dinner...with a fag ;)

Why all the discussion about my age may I ask? I am just a bit older than LK but younger than our Sylv.

Going off to finish my work on TTF.

Well I doomed - hate all forms of pasta - love all things with faces - especially the inside bits - like liver - eat all things that swim - and all edible things that fly or cluck and like someones grandchild (Dea) I absolutely adore brussel sprouts

Only eat rice in Paella - hate chinese food - except crispy duck - hate all indian and all curries - and hot spices and jalopenos - but love all herbs - hate milk

- still have all my own teeth though - only drinks I like are decaf coffee and gassy water

OOOOhh Rene - PLEASE don't eat my grandchild !!!

(tee hee) I re-read it the other way - you love 'brussels - I don't remember finding them in Spain, but I DO know a lovely Restauraunt in Tarragona who will cook me thin sliced lambs liver on a salad with a wonderful dressing (not on the menu but he 'knows me' )

HOW I miss it !!

I am sure one day you will be back - Barcelona is a long way from me - but if you ever make Granada - I will make sure you have your thin sliced liver on salad - sounds wonderful to me

The only time I was in Granada, I think it was around April time and probably 20 ish or more years ago - It RAINED and when I say RAINED, I REALLY mean RAINED - torrentian !! - I have the photo's to prove it - in front of the Alhambra fountain and even wetter than that !!

I remember going to the Palace - It is very uphill and the rain was SO bad that there was thick 'mud' flowing down the mountain.

At the top there is a very 'Posh' Hotel - I had to go in there and into the 'Very posh' 'ladies toilet' where I lifted my feet up into the 'very posh' sink to rinse the mud off under the 'golden' taps

"Happy memories" !!!

Went to spain14 years ago heavily pregnant with my youngest when we got there the heavens opened and we were told it was the worse rain they had had in 60 years. We were only there for a week and the beach was covered in rubbish that had been washed up so we could'nt use it.

I have been quite a few times, but this one stands out..not sure what the place was called but it was more of a spanish resort rather than English...began with an 'M' not far from Benidorm

Thats the Parador De Granada San Francisco - known as the Parador - El Alhambra Palace - super place to have coffee on the terrace - 347 euros a night for double room - 598 euros odd for a suite .

You have washed your feet in one of the very best places Dea - no rusty old bucket for you

Toilets free !!!

Dea

Dea Report 28 Jul 2010 20:40

I think I may have gone one up on that Rene ??

Do you know th Arts Hotel in Barcelona ??

Well=, I stayed there for several night a few years ago -I was going down in the lift and someone got in - I thought 'I know you from somewhere' but didn';t know where so said 'good morning' - he nodded and replied with a 'good morning' also.

It was only later in the day I realised it was 'Nelson Mandella'!!! - How 'thick am I ??

He was there for a concert with all those 'super models' and 'Bono' and other people who mean nothing to me - lots of 'REALLY THIN PEOPLE' - BIG FAT MINDERS and drugs being passed around (Nothing to do with him I hasten to add,), but that is what was going on.

Dea

Ginny,

I know I am probably VERY out of date but years ago I used to work for an Insurance Company who specialised in good deals for very young drivers - based at the local University.

The name was 'Endsleigh Insurance' - they may not now be a good deal but worth looking at, I think, from the rate you have quoted??
