I have now started a blog of pictures of New Zealand, views and birds and native plants etc. If anybody wants to see them let me know. So far I have put only 2 pics on as it takes 10 mins or more to add each one, but it is something I can do when all the GR members have gone to bed!

I am still having trouble with the Genes Site It let's me in to the home page but then it takes for ever to get on to the posts like general chat which I have to go to ,so that my threads page comes up.I waste such a long time trying to get into the right page :-(

It is wet and overcast and the the wind is freezing I wont be poking my head out to-morrow if it is like to-day.

I am now receiving replies to the invitations for the Hayward Reunion, so far they are all YES we will be there, which is nice.

Victoria also had a scan on her bladder plus the x-rays they don't have any results yet.
My singing for Pleasure group is going very well, they tell me they are enjoying their time with me. ,
I am very pleased with them, only one person has sung before, they are doing well, I haven't given them easy song's to sing, but they are learning quickly.\ :-)

It is time for the ABC New's & weather forecast also Dinner so must close

Marie,how long will Victoria have to wait for her results of her scan and x-rays. It's a real pain in the backside when they drag their heels, in sending results through.
My grandaughter went back to her doctor today, after doing her fluid intake, and outlet test. The doctor has said she thinks she has a an overactive bladder. She has to do pelvic floor excerices for a month,and see how she gets on. If nothing changes she has got to go back, and they will put her on tablets. Bless her at nearly 19, it's quite embarrasing for her.

It's been a glorious day here today. I have washed all the net curtains, and cleaned the windows inside the house. Oooh it's lovely to see the sun shining on the windows, and not see any smears and marks.

Still no news about Jeff today I see. Lets just hope and pray that he is making good progress. It's been a long time coming hasn't it, and poor Jean must be absolutely exhausted.

small update , there is little change today, but everyone is pleased with him, so thats all we can ask for .hopefully more news tomorrow,

well, a very busy 3 days are over!

One of our friends N got an Honorary degree at the university on Monday


our friends from the Island came over for it ................ R was N's supervisor for her PhD. So we had them for dinner on Sunday evening

Monday was the ceremony, a university luncheon, and then our Island friends and ourselves combined to take N, her husband, daughter and son-i-l out for a celebratory dinner.

Tuesday was a bit of a rest day, until we went to the university President's Reception for the Honorary degree recipients ...... just 2 of them last night, N and a guy who got his at Tuesday's grad.



Slob day for me today! I'm knackered!! The reception was all standing. I ached from my waist down to my fett by the time we got home last night!



Tomorrow, I go for my annual mammogram. It was supposed to be last Thursday, but someone called in sick so they had to reassign me.

Well ladys went the docters he has put me on morphine tablets along with the patches,and i already take sleeping tablets among all the other tablets and guess what im up again with cramp so thought pop on here then go back to bed and try and sleep you realy get fed up with this every hour out of bed ,just as well Jan is off till monday
Glad to hear Jeff is holding his own pray he gets stronger with each passing day still sending postive thoughts and holding you both close

The sun is out! So I am feeling more cheerful. Will be popping out later to do a couple of errands. Including filling out an application form to Join the local allotment club.

Dutch, I hope that the morphine tablets work for you and that the cramp only paid a short visit.

I nned to sort out my next batch of washing so that I can take advantage of the dry weather. This includes washing the bed linen. So hoping to have a good nights sleep in a nice fresh bed tonight.
Yes, I know that it is early to be talking about sleep but I've had a few bad nights ... at the same time as having difficulty getting on the chat boards.!

Tess, I know it's a bit late in the day, to be starting my washing. But the engineer came this dinner time, to fix the lock on my macine, and to change the rubber door innards.
The spring had gone on the door lock. So I am very late getting the bedding washed today. Still it's a lovely day, and theres quite a breeze outside, so they should dry anyway.
Are there very many vacancies for alloments round your way. They are fighting for them here where I live. Mind you, the nearest one to us was vandalised a couple of weeks ago, and all the hard work that people had done was ruined.
Why the heck do the yobs get such a kick out of doing these things, beggars belief.

Joyce if they put you on any more tablets, you are going to be rattling as you walk love.

Sylvia, I hope the mammogram goes well. Ooooh I can feel the sqeezing now.
No wonder you were knackered after all that standing love. Was there no seating arrangments at all then. Thats bad management, especially for those of us who suffer with problems,and cannot manage standing for long periods.

I'm here Mo, sorry I'm late getting on here today, Jennie and Michael came and had some dinner with us this evening, and I was so tired afterwards that I fell asleep on the settee. Now, how lazy is that.lolol!! Alun is just about to go to the Model Railway Club, so I think I'll make a couple of cards, otherwise I might drop off to sleep again and then I won't be able to sleep tonight.


Caz, thank you for the update on Jeff this evening, pleased that it is good news, and now I hope and pray that he will continue that way.

I hope you yourself, are having some better days and not suffering too much pain.

I hate going to the sort of receptions or parties where there isn't anywhere to sit. Alun and I went to a joint 50th and 60th birthday party last year, there were so many people there that by the time we got there all the seats had been taken, by the time we got home my back, legs and feet ached so much, I didn't know how to get comfortable.


Tess, you sound bright and cheerful, it's amazing how a bit of sunshine can make us all feel a lot better.
Hope you managed to get all your errands done.

Had a restful day today, feeling a little under the weather, not sure why?
Hubby is off for the next 4 days so he can look after me !!LOL chance would be a fine thing. Bless him he's already dozing in the chair after leaving for work before 5:00 am for the last 7 days. He needs the time off to recover.

Didn't get the errands done, (got too tired) However did get washing on line and got it dried. So good to have a washing line after all these years.

As to Allotments... I don't have to have an Allotment to join the club. There are however quite a few allotment plots almost surrounding the club..
I imagine that there is a waiting list for them. In some places you can share a plot with someone else, i.e. have just half a plot each.

They are a really good idea, especially for people who want to grow their own veg. etc and have little gardens or none at all next to their homes.

Hi Linda, we could all do with a bit of pampering, I would like a massage now and then but it costs $50 a visit which I can't claim any back.

Hi Mo, how are you, busy by the sound of it, if you were closer I would have you over to clean my windows I would have to be the worst window cleaner in OZ, I took the screen's off and washed the kitchen and lounge room, when I finished all the dust and dirt was gone but there were streaks everywhere, not a good look when the sun streams in through the window.

Good evening Marie. I was going to say good morning, you are up early, then I realised it was evening for you as it is for me. Silly me.

I have been having trouble adding more photos to my blog. I did, however, send some old ones to a man who used to live locally, and worked on building the dams. I also googled Cossey's Dam and found a website with some pictures which included one of Huana Falls. It seems to be an English travel site so I sent an email giving him the correct name for the falls, Hunua Falls. He also had the picture on sideways so I suggested he turn it so people dont have to crick their necks to look at it. I hope he isnt too upset at my suggestions.
