Jean thanks for letting us know about Caz. Please give her my love and tell her that I am thinking about her. I know she has enough to contend to without this.

How are things with you? Hope you are getting along okay.It certainly sounds as though you are busy with your card making.

Take care.

AnninGlos Report 26 Jan 2012 18:14

Thanks Jean, poor Caz she does suffer. Is she home or in hospital I wonder?

Sallie well, the one on my leg he has been watching he wants to 'cut' out but he is happy to leave it until after all holidays so hopefully that will be done in June, together with another one he spotted on my front just above my right boob (a small one) He would rather he cleared that with Aldara cream because of the cosmetic implications. (Obviously thinks I am too old for shorts

Then he looked at my back where I knew I had one and that one has also to be removed. (In June)

The one on my leg he wants to first try with more Aldara and also 5 (five) others he spotted on my back, mostly small ones so i have two lots of Aldara which T has to put on my back for me for 5 days a week for 6 weeks (finishing just before 10 March). So fingers crossed that the cream sorts the small ones out. Getting fed up now. Anyway have to wait for the appointment which hopefully will be 28 June (he is only there Thursdays) and will be for 40 minutes. :-D :-D Aldara cream I used last year, it cured one and not the other so fingers crossed. The only trouble with that is, it is a foem of chemotherapy cream and after I had finished it I developed shingles.

Ann, she is home after being at the hospital most of the day, just wish we lived nearer to her, no doubt she will have to go back to see if the cast is o.k. thanks for your good wishes, sorry to hear about the ulcers.....
J had one taken off near his eye early last year , he due to go and have a check up next week....

Sallie, I will tell Caz what you said although she may manage to get a look on here , it has shaken her up quite a lot, poor darling....
have you done any cards? once I get going everything else is forgotten...
I have taken pics of them so hopefully you will get to see them...

love Jean xx

Sallie Report 26 Jan 2012 18:41

Ann, I hope that the cream will get rid of all the smaller ones for you.I also hope that after using the Aldara cream you won't get shingles.
At least you don't have to cancel your holiday in Tenerife, so will get a break before having it done. All the same it will be nice when it's all sorted for you. Good luck!

Hope daughter's getting on alright, it will also be nice when she will have finished her treatment too. Thinking of you both.

I asked him if it could be done after our holidays (3 of them and he agreed it wouldn't be a problem

Pleased to hear that Caz is home Jean. I think if you don't mind I'll leave the cards photos until tomorrow, a bit tired tonight after traipsing into town and getting drenched walking from the hospital. It just bucketed down.

Good evening all
Ann I hope that you have an amazing holiday and that the cream works well for you this time and no nasty side effects. Is it more likely that you would develop shingles again. Your surgeon sounds an amazingly understanding man.

Sallie I hope you are well you will do cards again when you have some motivation I am sure. I just finished some baby clothes knowing the baby should be here within the month.

Jean I hope your cards turn out well and that you have more confidence after the problems at Christmas with the internet.

Well Carol what can I add except I hope your ankle isn't too painful and that it heals OK and you rest a bit. Shame your warden is changing but she needed to be near her husband. My FIL has the same problem in that his warder is only part time and never around when needed.

I hope Joyce is OK too as I haven't been around much having been away and now my body clock is up the creek and I am dropping early evening, but now wide awake. Oh well we had a lovely time But always good to be home.

Best Wishes to everyone

Sorry if I missed anyone

Hello to you all,
I have finally managed to find some time to sit down and catch up a little bit I have only managed to read this page.

Carol and Joyce I am sorry to hear you are both having more pain ,I do hope that your pain will ease, and that you will be able to do your Card making once more.
Dutch how was the Party?
It sounds like you are having a very cold winter, we still havent had Summer like we normally do, we have had a lot of rain and last week we had 3 bad Hail Storms it wiped out my vegetable garden and also all the annuals that I had planted so I wont be freezing any of the veggies for winter. We havent had any tomatoes ripen, far to cool and not enought sun.
I will be going back to Gym this coming week, hopefully my knees will hold up to the work.
I will be doing the tutoring for the Singing for pleasure group again this year we will be starting on the 10th Feb.
How is Jean and family going I hope they are well .

Sallie I was sorry to hear about your school friend who passed away so suddenly, what a shock for their family, not doubt later on they will realize that it was better for him to go quickly than to watch him suffer, like what Sylvia's friend and her husband are going through.

Thank you all for thinking of me I am still having my down day's but hopefully thing's will get better soon.
.
Hi Huia, congratulations on your Grandson.
Have there been any tremor's where you live.? I hope that they are all finished ,it certainly has been a bad year for NZ and for OZ,.

I was hoping that this year would be better for us all, but the heavy rain is causing floods once more in Qld. and also Northen NSW, just on our property alone we have lost so much topsoil, last year we put in several more drains to try and stop the water washing away the soil, but the rain is just so heavy that everything overflows , we get all the water from the property's further up the hill from us, as well .

Hi Ann I hope all is well with you and also your family.

Mo you may be able to get some new players for your Tuesday Dart's game.

I guess I had better close as there is work to do ,not that I feel like doing anything
Love to you all

Mo in Kent Report 27 Jan 2012 14:04

I am really LOL, we don't hear fro Marie for a while, then she manages to send us four on the trot saying the same thing. pmsl here.

It's good to hear from you Marie. What a shame that all your hard work in the garden has been washed away, with the downpours.
What a pity that the vegetables that were planted in the higher houses, didn't end up in your garden. You could have had some extra veggies for free.
The weather all over the world is so unpredictable at the moment.
Today we have got brilliant sunshine, but oh boy is it cold. There is absolutely no warmth in the sun at all.
It's good to hear that you are still doing the singing tuition classes. It helps to take your mind of off other problems doesn't it.

Good grief Linda, I can't believe the baby is due within the next month,it only seems a couple of months ago that you told us about your becoming a grandmother soon.
Do they know what they are having yet, or are they waiting for the lovely surprise when baby shows it's little face.
I bet you will spoil it no matter what they have.
And I can imagine them having enough knitten woollen things to last till little one is at least a year old.

Ann I have got everything crossed for you love. God willing the cream will sort the problem out for you.
When is it you go away to Tenerife? I know it is going to be in the near future. If you don't want to put it on here, you could p.m me.
Has T been able to get out for his game of golf lately? It would probably be very cold out on the course. But then golfers don't mind the weather do they, not like lickle ol me, I like my warmth and home comforts, and tea on tap whenever I want it.

Thanks for letting us know about Caz, Jean. The poor girl certainly has been through the mill lately. Give her my love when you next speak to her.
How are you and Jeff doing honey. Not to long now for your holiday either is it. Have you started your packing yet lol.
We are going up to Great Yarmouth in May, and taking our son, OH and baby Lilly with us.
I just hope that baby is in a better routine by then. I don't fancy being woken up in the early hours by a screaming little one.

Has anyone heard how Jan's birthday party went. Surely Jean,Sallie or Caz would have heard from her by now. Lets hope it went well for them all.

Huia, hows Phil keeping these days. I bet you are still working hard at the Hospice shop.
I hope you have not had more visits from the dreaded rodents.
Have you seen anything of your family lately?

Well my lovely friends, I must go now, got the doctors soon, so I will speak to you tomorrow.
Love and best wishes Mo xxx

Marie good to see you on here but sorry to hear about your poor garden. And here we think Australia always gets lovely summers.

Mo T decided he wouldn't play golf today, he is not so keen these days in going out in all weathers, I remember when he used to play in the snow even (with a red ball) :-D :-D.
Instead we went out to buy a carpet for his 'office', it is only small so we managed to get an end of roll which only cost £76. We then went to Dunelm and the Range, where I just managed to find some craft bits to buy. :-D

Mo in Kent

Mo in Kent Report 28 Jan 2012 14:02

Ha ha Ann, how could you not go to The Range, it was to good an opportunity to miss wasn't it.
£76.00 was not bad a price for the carpet. How big a piece was it?
I did wonder about T and his golf. Mind you, I certainly don't blame him for not wanting to venture out on the course in really bad weather.

I had to go to the doctors yesterday teatime. I was in so much pain in my bowel. I have to have an emergency scan sometime this week.
I dare say they will come to the same conclusion, it's scar tissue to the bowel. But I just wish they could give me something to relieve the pain, other than Paracetamol.

Enough of my problems, I hope you are all well, and enjoying your weekend.
It's not a very nice day here again today, rather chilly willy outside, so I shall stay inside the house for the day methinks.
Take care my friends, love to you all, Mo xxx

Extremeley cold out although sunny. Been in to town on the bus and had lunch in Wetherspoons which was crowded with Glos Rugby supporters as they are at home to Cardiff today. Took 3 bags of books and bits to charity shops so that is more stuff gone.

Hope you can get your pain sorted Mo. Why don't they give you Cocodimal (sp) which is stronger than paracetamol.
Carpet was 2.3 M X 4M

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 28 Jan 2012 16:54

Joyce what is your problem with the cuttlebug? Actually you need the C plate before you can use it really. You should have a book with it which tells you the order in whcih to put the plates and paper/card to be cut. If you don't let us know and we can put the order on here.

glad Jan's party went OK.

Sallie

Sallie Report 28 Jan 2012 17:50

Mo, I hope that it won't be too long before you have your scan and that they will get it sorted for you. I would have thought that the doctor would have given you something stronger than Paracetamol for the pain. I take Ibuprofen which usually works for me, as I can't take anything with Codeine in it.

Joyce sore subject with Alun....... Manchester United losing to Liverpool .....he's not a happy bunny at all.lol!!!

Did you try that spare plate that you had with the Cuttlebug? I know the unmarked plate I had with mine was deffinitely a C plate and it works fine.

Caz if you are looking in, I hope that your ankle is a bit less painful today. I also hope that it won't be too long before you are able to have your next scan.

Ann, lovely bright sunny day here too but it's very cold here. Alun and I went into Derby this afternoon and it was quite busy there. We usually go in early on a Saturday morning when it is much quieter, but we had to stop in this morning to wait for a parcel to be delivered ....which it was, I'm glad to say.

Sylvia, hope your cold is getting better and not causing you any problems.

Linda, over the last day or two I have started taking an interest in card making again..... between yesterday and today I've bought bought some more stash, so just have to make a start now.lol!!

As Mo have already said, the time seems to have flown since you told us that your daughter was expcting her first baby.....I'm sure that you are all getting excited and looking forward to seeing your first grandchild.

Marie, hope you are feeling a lot better than you have been for a while.

Sorry to hear that you had lost so many of your garden plants and vegetables with all the rain you have had recently.

Huia, hope you are getting along alright. Are you still working in the Hospice Shop?

Jean, also hope that you, Jeff and Debra are all okay.

Well everyone I must go as our dinner is nearly ready so will speak soon.

Take care.

Love, Sallie.xxx
