Hi Rebs Alex is a lot better this morning thanks. He came in from school yesterday and fell asleep on the settee. I sent him up to bed when he disturbed about an hour later and he was there for a couple of hours before coming down again. When I checked his forehead he was burning up sp I gave him some nurofen and sent him to bed again and he slept until between 6 & 7 this morning. He's still pale but the temps gone thankfully so hopefully he'll be able to shake it off quite quickly. How are you and your lot and did you manage to sort your daughters dress out??? Juliexx

Hiya Hon, glad the boy is a little better. We're at the time of year where we get 4 seasons in a day, twice over. So the jumpers are coming on and off too many times to count. Lots of bugs going around, and the changing weather conditions make you more susceptable to them. Haven't sorted the girls dress yet. Not sure whether to persevere with it or make another one. Thing is, if it sustains too much damage from wear and tear it loses it's resell value. I'm tending to think it's better to sell while it's in near new condition. Whoever buys it though is going to have the same problem as I've discovered. ?????

Hi Andy, welcome to our lemon colored corner of GR. Post what info you have on here, and someone should be able to help, or at least point you in the right direction. I hate it when that happens Wilson. Never mind, we all understand your shorthand perfectly. ;-)) Not happy!!! Bris/Essendon game is on at the Gabba tonight, and guess what one they're televising up here? We all know Bris are going to get the a*ses kicked by the Dons. Carlton /Fremantle would be a much better game to watch I should think. Cheers, Rebs x

Good evening Wattlers, Just wasn't our time yet Joodles - no head hanging . . . There are others out there ahead of us - we just have to wait our turn - but it will come !!! Dont know where dont know when . . . . . but its coming !!! If we cant find you we will know where you are - out driving using up your petrol vouchers . . . have gas will travel! That would keep your car and mine going for ages - but after filling up the Pajero today - it would only fill it twice! Here it is Saturday night and we've had a lovely day on the Bay. Lovely sunshine and only a gentle breeze. Lots of things happening out in front of us - boaties and fishing peeps and children in the sand. The trailer sailors were out in force, the picture was spectacular with all the sails filling the entrace to the bay. Tonight the water is like a mirror reflecting the lights - a regular fairy light land! Glad you are getting some more FH info from your rellie Tony - sure helps when they come out of the woodwork doesn't it. I cant believe how many dints I am making in my FH brick walls with info gathered O/S - plus a guy on Rays side that I made contact with on GR a couple of years ago - putting our heads together we have solved several mysteries this last couple of days. I now know for sure which branch of the tree we sit on - not just think I know! Sorry you wont be in Yarrawonga Rebs, but it is a long way for you - we will try and have fun without you. Sounds like you had a good lunch the other day Shaz & Joodles though guessing the chatter was the main course! Glad you have the worry of the van out of the way Mary, are you like me keep putting the thoughts of selling the house to the back of the mind so you dont have to deal with it ?? must get on to that one - nah, back into the too hard basket! Hi SuzyQ, hope alls well - and cheers to Neville from both of us! Where did all these bursts of energy come from Lara ?? You have been giving the old sprung cleaning a nudge haven't you. (sprung as in unspringed) I should give some thought to that too - haven't got back into the swing of things yet since we got home, windows could do with a spit and polish and the outdoor furniture is dieing of thirst - needs oil real bad. Von, well the gt aunt made the 100th and I'm sure she got pleasure out of that, and so pleased for you that you have the memories of going up to share it with her. Bless her, may she rest in peace. Do you use notepad Wilson to type up your replies ?? If not why not ??? If so save as you go girl !! Yahhooo Andy !!! where are you with your request ??? Obviously Ann (of the Honey Rum variety) told him to cum see us, so when your ready Andy we will help if we can. Ray went off to a Rugby game this afternoon, so I had the nose in the papers again. One of the things I got at the museum in Dover was a list of things that my gtgtgramps donated to them between 1836 when they started their collection up till 1849 - they said they would email me a list of anything else after that, they are in the process of putting the catalogue onto computer and had only gone as far as 1849. I did some googling to find out about some of the things on the list, and I am convinced he would be so pleased that I am digging into his life, because he obviously had a thing for history himself. Among the items were an ancient stone vessel, 2 fish hooks from Lapland (they would most likely have been made from bone) a collection of British bird eggs, a Admiral Nernon medal (read up all about him and the medals) 3 Roman copper coins, A collection of fossils, 64 different coins or tokens all listed ( a variety of both copper and silver)! So I think he was a good guy - have taken quite a liking to him. In 1836 he was only 29yrs old. Another volume of War & Peace . . . I know Rebs, tut tut Hope all are well, and catch u later cheers luv Laurie

Morning all Really hoped I'd get my hands on some spare cash on Lotto last night! Would have helped my son. Big drama with son - he is not well and has been off work for almost a year. Has had to sell his house and was going to rent it back from the new owners. 5 working days before settlement, new owners have said they no longer want to rent the place out and are going to move in themsleves. This means son, fiancee and child have to find a rental property before next weekend - absolutely demoralising to see what's around in their price range. Then they have to pack and move out by next weekend. Trouble is, rental properties are scarce and there are so many people competing for what's avaliable. And son has a great big stupid dog and a lot of places won't take dogs. Son would be devestated if he had to give stupid dog away. There is nothing they can do as the new owners didn't put anything in writing - it was done through the real estate agent but there had been no rental agreement signed at that stage so we are all in a panic. People make me so wild - I can't believe that they would be so unfeeling as to do that. Even if they gave them a little bit more time, it would make things easier. We may have them moving in here with us yet - God knows what we'll do with all their stuff but I guess we'll park our cars outside and just fill up the garage. So - not much time for small talk - I'll go off and panic a bit more. Can't even look at properties today as the rental agents don't want to talk to anyone on a Sunday, not that you can blame them. They need some time off. Catch you all later :>(( Anna

Hate to say this, but the males of today are useless, when it comes to maintenance around there house. Last Xmas, i bought my son-in laws, 'Tools'....Jigsaws,Drills,Grinders, Hammers,Saws, ect.........there still in there boxes, and haven't been used....bloody useless twits. I asked one of them if they knew what a Callus was!!! Anyway......my girls shouted me out for Tea, for fixing up there little jobs. Joodle. Good try mate, but wasn't meant to be.....:>)) Our turn will come though.......dont know when.....dont know why.....but i know we'll meet again some sunny day......la la la la.....lol Sorry, but i love that song......:>)) Mary. glad you sold the van mate. Must be a relief for you. Sue ( in Tas ) Good luck for today mate ( Footy ).....:>)) Well... you know i dont really mean that....but it sounds sincere...lol Rebs. I maybe an Old fart .....He'y. but your the one that has loads of..... 'pppppppp'.... ( P's ) after there name, and this maybe the first sign's of incontinence for you? ....LOL x Hi Andy. Let us have it mate,( details) someone here will be able to help, or at worst give it a try. Joke:( from Barb )..some words have been changed to protect the innocent....:>)) One morning while making breakfast, a man walked up to his wife, pinched her on the butt and said, 'If you firmed up, we could get rid of your control top panty hose.' While this was on the edge of intolerable, she kept silent. The next morning the man woke his wife with a pinch on each of her boobs and said, 'You know, if you firmed these up, we could get rid of your bra.' This was beyond a silent response, so she rolled over and grabbed him by his...(ow's ya father ) With a death grip in place, she said, 'You know, if you firmed this up, we could get rid of the gardener, the postman, the poolman, and your brother. Well... will go make a coffee, then off to do some more fixing around here, then listen to the footy. Ave a good day all. Tony Oz.....once an old 'Rocker'.....and now owns one....:>((((

Good morning all - top sunny morning - but a little breezy - the Bay is full of little white peaks so good weather for the nutters on te kite board thingys. The seas must be a little rough out there as the foam at the heads seems to be lots higher than normal. We are just about to head out for a little old Sunday drive - having just spent the morning loungeing around reading papers etc. Tony I think by the sound of it our music selections have a lot in common 'Keep smiling . . . etc.' Ray likes all of my music, but sorry to say I can't say the same about his . . Trains & Prison & Johnny Cash - not up there with me! but I must admit he doesn't play them as often as he used to, I must have swayed the thought patern a little there. Ray started the boys with their own power tools to save from looseing his, however as we had cured them from everything to do with building by being owner builders, I didn't think he had a worry in the world. Youngest has turned out to be a handy man - but Paul would rather pay someone else if he can't con his brother to do his odd jobs for him. ANyway have a wonderful Sunday whats left of it one and all and catch you up later. cheers luv Laurie

Afternoon Wattlers Just quickly as we have been busy out in the yard yesterday mowing the lawn, as David thought it was more interesting than listening to Geelong Kangas match lol. Then this morning we sprayed the weeds, so yard will be nice and neat when we go away. Now I am supposed to be in shower, but I thought a quick hello would be good. Tony and Lara, gee I suppose I had better pass on good thoughts for todays match, as Tony has done. Good thoughts on us winning pmsl sorry guys had to say it. Seriously may the best team win, with gooood umpiring!!!!!!! Too bad about the lotto, oohh well there is always next time :-( Just before I go this bloody puta has played up again only in the storage/secondary hard drive, but we had all info saved this time. David thinks it funny that both times it has played up on a Sunday, but we havent located any viruses?? Anyone heard of this before? You just cant access it and all it wants to do when you start the puta up is to scan disk, but the moment it starts to scan the secondary hard drive it just freezes. That it out of the puta and it runs fine ??? Anyway got to have a shower, then I might catch you after the game, have to be happy listening to it on radio though, as its not on tv till 4.00. Hello to everyone, have only had a quick look at messages, will read after shower, while listening to radio. Cheers Sue

Afternoon Wattlers, Well I guess it's head's down and bum's up for another week. Won't be hiring a maid this week. Spent this morning in the garden and now I ache all over. Perfect weather to be in the garden as it was overcast and not too hot. Hope everyone's football games went in their favour. Did Brisbane win any thing? Laurie, thanks for asking, things are not too bad here at the moment. Neville is giving the car a service, long over due I might mention. A bit like the painter who never paints his own house. I love to go for Sunday drives, but everyone goes so fast these days that they never see the country side around them. Them some one gets up your B*m, and you have to speed up. All the pleasure has gone out of it. Anna, I do hope that your son finds somewhere, it must be a hard time for him. The lotto would have come in handy for you this week. Any one have mastercard reward points? We save ours up until we can get $200.00 of petrol cards. There I was thinking I had enough points and the number of points has gone up. I don't understand why I should have to use more points to get money. Money hasn't gone up, it's gone down in value. I used to have to spend $29600, I now have to spend and extra $1600 to get enough points for $200.00 of petrol. The banks get you all the time, we can't win. Where is the incentive to use your card. I am not a good customer really because I pay it off every month. Lara you can now come and do my windows and fly screens please. LOL I didn't think that there were any geriatrics on here, our bodies may be weak, but our minds are those of 30 year old's. Or mine is at least, now where was I.????? Andy, If anyone can help you Tony can, and everyone on here will help any way they can, you can be assured of that. My aunt and uncles came out in the 50's, they were on the same boat as the Bee Gee's. Well, I hope everyone had a great weekend. Who won't be here over Easter? Bye for now SuzyQ

Personally I like emails to be for friends writing to me. Unfortunately my server sends things twice too - and by the time they all go through the scanner, they take forever to download. Evening all, Wow, must be something about Palm Sunday that brings out the gardeners! I spent some time in my front garden planting the pansys and primula. I haven't gardened for ages. :) Today was grand - daughter's first birthday party. She is a cutie and walking everywhere. But so tiny compared to the other babies her age. (none of whom are walking though :) Told hubby he would have to go to work for another week. hee he. Anna, hope your son manages to find something. We are just about to get rid of our boarders for a while - they are going to go house-sitting till August. Will be nice to have the house to ourselves after over 3 years!! Short week this week. Yarrawonga coming closer. Yaaaaaaaaaaaay Vonny
