Evening All. Just back from Sydney, phew! Arrived 5.30pm Saturday afternoon. Just enough time to change into party clothes, then off to meet friends for dinner at the Casino - Astral Restaurant is brilliant! Sunday morning shopping in Chatswood where we found doona cover, doona, sheets, cushions - everything! Then to a friends place for lunch at Cammeray. Jumped in the car this morning and now we're home. Had a great time and all the linen was 30% off! Gotta be happy about that. Back to work tomorrow. Love to you all. Can't chat for long as my computer's still not online (buggar!) Have to share with Hubby. Sorry we didn't win Lotto, but we must be saving ourselves for something real big. Lew Lew :-)))))) xxx

Hi all Yes, Mary, its been a bit dry of late hasnt it? Lew Lew - you visited my old stamping ground (or shopping ground, I should say - Chatswood) - and Cammeray - I loved the Japanese shops there, the supermarket, not that I could understand what the labels said! Good few years since I have been there. You certainly did well on your shopping spree. You're a lucky girl Miss Jude2 (Travel Addict) - I think you're wearing the crown now - you have travelled even more than our Laurie. Glad you are still legally a member Vonny - we'd have missed you! Hi everyone :-) Wilson and Mary have done raindance on head lol, still sunny here so hoping it got the message right this time and is on it's way to you. Jude 2 they're threatening hosepipe bans down south so you may just get lucky if it keeps it up lol. Of course with the unpredictability of the British weather I make no guarantees lol. Vonny glad to see you sorted out your bank and are still with us :-) Lew Lew glad you had a good trip :-) Sunny here but a bit chilly. Well have a lot to do today gotta go. *waves* Juliexx

Evening All. Sat down to a nice mixed Grill for tea. Cutlets,Chips, Eggs,Tomatoes( home grown of course )...Peas,Beans,Carrots,Corn and a nice bottle of Riccadona.( burp...scuse )..:>)) Hi Julie. Have a nice day mate. Hi. Cousin Joy.....:>)) Sorry, i don't live in N.S.W so cant help mate. Don't know of a Kalumba?....... Maybe someone in N.S.W can help. Rebs. Loved the joke mate...LOL Does anyone watch the 'Antiques Road'show, its on channel 9 ( in Vic. )at 5:00... Its amazing some of the stuff peeps bring along for valuation, that they've had lying around the house, or handed down from Relo to Relo. A lady was on tonight with a chest of draws dated 1750s and in good nick. She was told to insure it for $170,000 ( Ozzie bucks ). The look on some peoples faces is worth seeing, as there Jaw drops wide open and you can see the cash register light up in their eyes ..$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ *ching*.......:>)))) The show is British, and can normally be seen on Foxtel or Optus, but lately on Channel nine. Being a bit of an Antique collector and all sorts of memorabilia myself, i enjoy this show, and now tape it. Well only 10 weeks to go, and we are also up,up,and awayyyyy. Singapore,Scotland, Paris, London. In Scotland we are only visiting two places now, Edinburgh and Fort William ( and everything in between ) as we only have 6 days here, so will be going through Perth,Creiff, and Stirling ( if anyone wants a Piccie? ) and possibly a day trip to Inverness ( pending ) In London we are staying in the West end ( Bloomsbury ) and using public transport to get around. Have a nice day tomorrow folks. Tony Oz......:>)) Ps. Like the add says:....Wattyl on Australia...lol

Good morning everyone - up and at 'em!! Thank goodness - people buying son's house have agreed to delay settlement until tson finds a place to rent. Trouble is there are not many places around in their price range and stacks of people queued up to try to rent the places that are available. I haven't rented for about 40 years so it's all a new ball game to me. Son has never rented before so it's a really steep learning curve for all of us! Mary - so glad you managed to sell lthe van. One more worry off your mind. Good luck with the 4wd. Lew Lew - we are waiting for these pictures of Mudgee Palace - hope you're on line by now. Jude2 - be gentle with the poms. I'm sure they'll be glad of the tourist pound you spend over there though! Tony - not long until you go - how exciting. You will have so many tales to tell us on your return. Vonny - glad you were able to renew. I'd have noone to play 2's and 3's with!! Have to take grandson to dentist this morning as his parents have an appointment to inspect a rental property. Wish me luck!! Waving to everyone else......:>) See you later Anna

Well good morning all from Botany Bay, another glorious sunny day has begun, though a little hazy this morning, I am pleased to say a few ships have arrived and put some of the giraffes to work - there are only 4 still standing idle. A tanker is also keeping them in work over at Kernell. Donna, I dont think we will be making a venue for Brisvegas on 10th June on the boards - just to say it is on. Will pm you. Poor Devly - its awful when your puter not doing what you expect of it isn't it, takes all the fun away! Hope you get your glitches ironed out soon. Glad your still with us Von, I had the same thing happen to me on NSW bdm on the weekend, but yesterday they accepted my money. (My weekly allowance cert to build up all my knowns - not anything I'm desperate to get for a brickwall). I Have a confession to make Tony - My Christmas lights are still up on the balcony too! I decided to leave them and I use them most nights they give just enough light inside without having big lights on - and dont stop us from being able to see out over the Bay. Jude the little travel addict, good on you, what are mums for if not to comfort homesick, lonley kids. I have a theory, if you have a suitcase - use it! I have plenty, usually buy a new one to come home every trip to Jakarta - shoppers heaven - at least 4 trips a year over 10 years . . . that would be about right! Baggage handles are rough on them and you have to replace often don't you! they keep improveing them too - they are getting bigger and lighter so you can fit more in! Mary I am up early every morning, I get Ray's breaky and make his lunch before he goes off to work - I do look after him well. I find its better to get the chores out of the way, the middle of the day is mine, plus the bonus is seeing the day begin. My you had a busy time Lew, wore me out reading about it - you sound like the son - talking to him yesterday telling him to take what he needs out of my home, and he told me - New house - New start - New gear! Then we had the strangest conversation about cutlery. Hi Julie, yes I found out all about the water restrictions when I was staying at Whitstable - read an interesting story in the local paper about the water supply - the underground storeage in the chalk caves. Your dry is a lot different to ours though - you should come and bloody see it! (I should apply for a job with Aussie tourism hehe) I like that Antique Roadshow too Tony, should have a local one though shouldn't we - would be interesting to see what had survived the years in Oz. I imagine we all have little bits and pieces we would never part with but it would be interesting to know their monetary value. You and Barb must be really getting excited about the trip - the next 10 weeks will go by so fast. Numerical trivia On the morning of 4th May at precisely 2 minutes and 3 seconds after the hour of 1am, a once and only once ever in all time numerical phenomenon will occur 01:02:03 04/05/06 Now you can get on with the rest of your life Ave a good one . . . cheers luv Laurie

Morning All. Back to the office today, but not for long. Hubby and I have decided to call it quits and will be retiring on 30 June 2006. HOORAY! Haven't told the partners yet, but we won't be changing our minds. I will probably just do some temp work, but will have at least 6 months off first and decide what I want to do. Slept in our new bed for the first time last night with all the new linen and it was wonderful. I promise, piccies will follow shortly. I just want to get the dining and lounge suites delivered (15 May) and then everything will look great. Still not online at home and have left a desparate message for Computer Boy to ring me. Hope everyone has a fantastic day. *waves enthusiastically to all* Lew Lew xxx
