Hello Ladies,

I've been out nearly all day, so haven't had time to get on here until now.

Like you all, I thought that the wedding was lovely........Kate looked beautiful and elegant .

Jean, try not to worry too much about having to see the Specialist (easier said than done, I know) but I feel sure that if it was something to really worry about, they would have been in touch before now. We are all here for you, and hope and pray that all will be fine for you. Please try and think
on the positive side. Sending you hugs and lots of positive thoughts.

Joyce, hope you are feeling a bit better today. I hope that it won't be too long before your new greatgrandson is born....thinking about you all and sending you lots of positive thoughts.

Mo, like you neither of my children knew my dad....Richard was born eight months after he died. I know he would have loved both Richard and Jennie, as they would have loved him too. I always believed that Richard was a gift for the loss of my father.
My mother died when Jennie was 12, and have always said, that when she has had very bad flare ups, and she's been frightened, she has felt Nan there, looking after her.
So like you Mo, I too believe that there is life after death. But of course, as you say there is no evidence to proove it.

Marie, I hope you will soon feel a lot better, stay in bed and look after yourself. I'll be thinking about you.

Sylvia, hope you are also over your cold, and feeling better. Take care!

Ann, hope you and T have arrived home safely and that you feel better after your cold.

Caz, I also hope that you are feeling a bit better from the chemo. I have some more photos of cards to put on Ann's blog....Alun has actually uploaded them from the camera to the computer, at last , so hopefully he'll send them over the next day or two.lol!!

Huia, I haven't checked our e-mails, so will let you know if I've received your photos. Hope all is okay with you.

Tess, I hope you are alright, as we haven't heard from you for a while.
I hope you had a nice Easter.

Jude, lovely to see you on here, as the others have already said, you are always welcome.
Hope all is well with your sister, now.

Linda and Liz, if you are looking in, hope you are both alright.

Well, I'm going to have a cuppa now.....after all my gabbing, I'm very thirsty.lolol!!!

Enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend, everyone.

Love and best wishes. Sallie.xxx

Hi Sallie and everyone
I am Ok just trying to get my head round finally giving up my childminding after nearly 25 years of caring for other peoples children and 32 years since my eldest was born,
I need to sort a plan of things to keep me occupied and achieve things I haven't been able to do beacause of or inspite of always having children around.
Decorating has been started and I need to get out into the garden too.
Holidays to plan especially if my hubby takes early retirement too. But he hasn't put a date on that yet.

I have been enjoying the lovely weather and spent a good deal of yesterday watching the Royal Wedding. I did enjoy that.

Thanks for thinking of me. Will try to update a bit more often.

Linda :o) XxX

Linda, nice to hear from you and to know that you are okay. It will be nice to do the things that you would like to do, now that you no longer have to childmind. As time goes by, you'll wonder where you had the time to look after the children.....I've found that as I get older, the time goes by a lot quicker than it did when I was younger.

Yes, I also spent a lot of the time watching the Royal Wedding......I thought that William and Kate seemed quite relaxed, and Harry just added a hint of humour to it all, at times.lol!!

Huia, I've received your photos, they are really lovely, thank you for sending them. I've sent you an e-mail.

Well it's nearly time for bed so goodnight everyone, sleep well.
Speak to you all tomorrow.

Love, Sallie.xxx

Sylvia, (((((((((((BIG HUGS FOR YOU))))))))))) get well soon honey. It's so unlike you to be this unwell.
What you need is a cuddle with MJ, but wear a mask when you do it, you don't want little man catching it.

Oooh Linda, I forgot about your retirement. No more glitter and glue to have to clear up, will make life more easier for you love.
You can concentrate on your garden now that weather is good. The decorating can wait till the winter time, when you are unable to get outside.
And as Sallie has said, time flies by when you retire, and you wonder how you managed to fit everything in, that you had been doing whilst working.

Cooee Ann, how does it feel to back home again. It's back into the old routine again isn't it, washing, ironing, cooking and that awful swear word Hou*w*rk.
At least you have good weather to get the clothes dry.
I bet you have already planned your next holiday.
Don't forget poor T being out in the garden cutting that grass, he will need extra cups of tea to give him succour to finish the job.

I was so pleased to read that Daff is now back online, and sounding more like her old self. She has gone through so much, and deserves all the love and respect she gets from friends on here.

Lets hope the sunshines for everyone tomorrow, and that the wind starts to drop soon.
It must be the tail end of America's tornado's.

Bye for now everyone. Take care, love to you all. Mo xxx

Hi everyone, I am fine. Actually because I have been feeling better than I have in a long while, I have been rather busy!
Managed to do some housework, met schoolfriends for lunch, been to a concert. Went to a ladies night forr a talk. Had my hair done. Ben for an Indian Head Massage x 2 (third one due on wednesday.)
Been to the library x 3.
Celebrated my brothers birthday by going for a meal. Mowed the lawn in the back garden (A new lawn and an even newer lawn mower).

All this and much more over a period of four weeks.

This means that I have had very little time or energy left to come on the computer. So for a change, I haven't been here much because I am well, not because i am below par.

I hope that everyone that is under the weather at the moment soon gets better.

I hope to spend some time on here tomorrow. The trouble is, if I feel really well, I might do some ironing, or go for a walk!

Mo in Kent Report 2 May 2011 21:20

Hi there everyone.
Tess, I am so pleased to hear that you have been having a better time of it,
I hope and pray that it continues that way for you love.
I really don't blame you for not being on here, when you have so much else going on in your life at the moment, you go girl keep it up.
Good days are a long time coming arn't they, so make the most of them.

Linda, for goodness sake, do you ever get any rest. lol You are such a worker, and I am a shirker I'm afraid.
I have done one load of washing this evening, and intend to do the next load in the morning.
Judging by the wind today, extra pegs are going to be needed.

We went and saw our lovely Lilly today. She has settled down now, thank goodness, and is back to her smiley self again.
We have got two friends in hospital at the moment. Fortunately they are in the same hospital, so we can visit them both on the same day.
One has just got over pneumonia, and the other has got to have a triple by-pass operation, when they can get him a bed in St Thomas's hospital.
They did an angiogramme on B last Thursday, and found out his complications, but are not going to book him a bed until after he has undergone a stress test tomorrow.
Now if they know he has got to have the by-pass, why have they not already rung and booked his bed, thats what I want to know. Still thats the NHS lately, money saving I suppose, but his life is at risk, and what price is the cost of a life.

I hope Sylvia is feeling better today. And that all our friends who are under the weather feel better soon.

Nigh Night god bless you all. Love Mo xxx

Hi all

Mo ... not feeling much better :((((

In fact, I have just cancelled out of a trip over ot the Ilsand to see our friends. OH has to go over there for a meeting on Wednesday until Friday, I was going to go with him, and ahve lunch with one friend, dinner with others.

But I just don't feel up to it. I'm still coughing like mad, and have a runny nose as well.

I have been out the house this afternoon for the first time since last Tuesday ..... we had to go and vote in the Federal Election .... the 3rd one since 2006.

I wonder what kind of govenment we will end up with this time?
