Hi Sylvia,

If he is working on it why does he say this then I wonder? At 5.30 today.

As a result, while these changes are being tested and retested, and while the new database indexes are still being created for the messages we are unable to roll out the Message Centre patch. This will be rolled out as soon as practical.

Thank you for bearing with us while we try to rectify these issues.

Sallie Report 7 Dec 2011 22:34

Hi Sylvia yes thanks I've received your reply and have answered it.

Also had a reply from Caz, so it looks as though as though Phil and Co have sorted it out at last, thank goodness.

Ann, Alun has informed me that the browser we use is IE8. So I can't understand why I haven't been able to send messages until tonight.

Hope that you are both alright.

Take care.

Mo in Kent Report 7 Dec 2011 22:43

Cooeee girls, just a quickie before I go to bed.
Roly has had his scan, and there are no signs of any stones, so now he has to have the other tests done.
The dye injection, or the camera up the private parts. And believe me he is not looking forwards to that.
We were both relieved about the lack of stones, but it does not answer the questions as to why he has been in so much pain.
Now all we have to do is wait and see when they send an appointment through for him.
Thank you all for your support messages today, it's so nice to have such good caring friends.
I received your p.m Sallie, so we know that the system works when it feels like it.
I have answered as well, so it will be nice knowing that we are able to p.m each other at long last.
Thank you for the lovely card received today Sallie. You card making girls are so clever.
Oh and while I think of it, I had an E.Mail today from our Jean. She is o.k thank the lord, and hopefully the fraud squad will sort out the blighters who stole from her, dirty rotten swines that they are. Causing Jean all this upset, it's just not fair. ((((((((((((BUG HUGS FOR YOU JEAN))))))))))))))))))))

Well my lovelies, I am away to my bed now, so I will say goodnight god bless you all. Love to one and all, Mo xxx

Sallie Report 8 Dec 2011 12:02

Mo, after I had sent you the pm last night I had a phone call from Joyce, she hasn't got the internet this week so she's asked me to pass on her very good wishes to Roly and she hopes that the hospital will soon sort whatever it is out.

She had gone to bed but couldn't sleep because of the cramp and pain in her legs. I just wish there was something the dodtor could do to help her a bit more, but apart from the help and medication she is having, there isn't anything else he can do.

Thank you for asking me on your pm.... the antibiotic that I'm taking seems to be helping I am slowly starting to feel better. So hope it will continue that way.

Sending lots of best wishes to Roly and hoping that it will all be sorted out for him very soon.

Speak to you all later on.

Love, Sallie.xxx

Hello girls,

It's very quiet on here. Where is everyone? Hope everything is okay with you all.

Mo, not sure if you have a darts match tonight, if you do hope you and your team will win.Good luck.

The weather has been awful here today, really cold and windy with a lot of rain. I had to put the lights on before 2.45 so that I could see the keyboard on this laptop.

I'll speak to you later.

Oh Huia, I did laugh at my "BUG HUG" I meant a big hug for Jean, my fingers and thumbs are getting mixed and muddled lately. lol ;-)

Yes I have got darts Sallie, but I am not looking forwards to going out in these high winds and rain, yuk, it's awful out there, I feel like snuggling down in front of the fire.
It's supposed to be going down to minus 3 tomorrow night, just think about me girls, I shall be out dancing the night away, then going out into the freezing cold to come back home, brrrrr.
There will be at least 22 of us from the darts teams, going to our local golf club for a meal and dancing. Great fun should be had by all.

Must get into my bath now girls, speak to you tomorrow. Love Mo xxx

Genes 8 Dec 2011 15:38

Hi everyone, as you know there have been ongoing performance issues for several months now. Our most experienced Genes developer, Toby, has been working on this for the last week. He has made some improvements so that changes which are normally made via our live database are now actioned in the background. This means that the live database isn't drawn on so much, which is why performance has been affected. This is a work in progress and Toby will continue to make changes over the coming week. We'd like to thank you for alerting us to the problems you've experienced. We are really sorry it has taken so long to resolve. However, you should start to see an improvement. Please bear with us as these changes will be gradual, but we're confident that you will find the site is working much better than it has been.

so we MIGHT see improvements ........... I hope!

Yes I saw that Sylvia so fingers crossed. It seems that theya re trying hard to sort things.

Hope you didn't get blown away tonight Mo and that you won your darts match.

Sallie, we were out today, we took our friend who was widowed out to a garden centre for coffee then to lunch at a local pub carvery which was very good and she enjoyed it too.

Sallie Report 8 Dec 2011 22:33

Ann pleased that you and OH had a lovely lunch out with your friend.

Is it the lady that you were supposed to have had lunch with a couple of weeks ago, but she was poorly?

Sylvia, this site is better today than it's been for long while, just want to thank you for getting in touch with Phil and Co. I wouldn't have known where to start.

Take care everyone.

Love and best wishes. Sallie.xxx

Sallie yes that's right. You have a good memory.

Sallie

Sallie Report 9 Dec 2011 11:59

Ann, I thought it was the same lady. I don't know about having a good memory.....sometimes I go upstairs to put some clothes away to pick something else up, I put the clothes away and come down without the item I went up for.lol!!

Mo, hope you and your team did well last night. It was certainly a bad night weatherwise, to turn out.

Alun went to the model railway club as usual....he said there were only four of them there. One of the members that owns his own small local bus company couldn't get there as he was having to run passengers between Derby train station and another station. Not sure which one, but a tree had come down across the line somewhere, so they were having to run shuttle buses.

I'll look in again later on.

Hi again girls,

Jean, if you are looking in, thank you for your lovely Christmas card which arrived this afternoon.

When Alun came home from work this afternoon he took me up to town so that I could buy Christmas cards for a few members of my family and friends. I just haven't been able to get them done this week with having a chest infection and pleurisy. I wasn't out too long,
thank goodness, as the cold wind made the pain of the pleurisy worse.

I thought that some of the individual cards in the shops were terrible, and I felt awful about not being able to finish make them for our close family and friends.

Mo, I hope that Roly is feeling a bit better today and not suffering too much pain.

I hope everyone is alright and not suffering too much from the cold weather.

Love and best wishes. Sallie.xxx

Hello girls,
I had a wonderful night out at our local golf club last night girls. A beautiful meal of, starter, Prawn Cocktail, main meal, Roast Turkey Dinner, Desert of Christmas Pudding and custard.
A live band to dance to, and much fun had by us all. I don't think I have laughed as much in ages, I don't know what ached the most, my feet or my jaw from the laughter.
If any of you are on Face Book, you can take a look at the photo's on there.

We lost at darts on thursday night, but it doesn't matter to us. But it would be nice if once in a while we could win more than one leg, out of nine lol.
No we not Octapuses (sp) they only have eight tentacles, and we needed nine legs. ;-)

Get well soon Sallie, this infection has gone on for long enough, and has dragged you down hasn't it love. Keep your chin up babe, and smile for aunty Mo :-)

Well girls, I hope we are all nearly ready for the big day. Our meat is all bought, cakes are made, sweets and chocolates and sundries are all got, just got the last minute bits like the veggies and bread etc to buy.
Cold meat, jacket spuds, and pickles are order of the day for boxing day, just to let the stomach settle after the feast on christmas day.
We all tend to over do the eating on that day don't we, well I know I do, and then suffer from chronic wind during the evening.

Hopefully I will be able to get back and speak to you tomorrow.
Take care everyone. Love to you all, Mo xxx

Sallie Report 10 Dec 2011 21:30

Mo, glad to hear that you had a great time last night. have you got any energy left after all that dancing and laughing? I'm afraid I don't go on Facebook Mo, tried it on there a couple of times in the past but not too keen on it.

I just have one present left to get and of course the last bits of food.

Still have a few pressies to pack, but at least the majority are done.

How are things with Roly? I hope he isn't in too much pain at the moment.

I have felt a good bit better today although not fully over it,so we managed to go to Derby this mornig so that I could get two of the last three presents I had left to buy. Only one more left to get now, so hopefully I will be able to get that in the week.

I had a pm from Caz earlier on this evening, she has asked me to let you all know that she has a kidney infection so might not be on here for a few days.
I hope that she will soon get over it and start to feel better. She has enough to put up with with the illnesses she already has without having anything more.

Jean hope your computer will start behaving itself soon. it will be nice to hear from you again.

Ann, I've sent you a pm, hope you get it okay.

Sylvia, Huia, Linda and Joyce thinking about you all and hoping that you are all well. Take care.

Well girls I'll speak to you all tomorrow.

Stay safe and keep warm.

Love and best wishes, Sallie.xxx

Hello ladies.
Sallie, the hospital have got until this friday, to sort out an appointment for Roly.
He was fine for about three days, but today it has started to ache again.
Poor Caz, she has enough to put up with, let alone her keep having these kidney infections.
We haven't heard from Marie for a while, I do hope she is well. Perhaps she has been busy with xmas preparartions.,but lets hope and pray she is well.
I am afraid I have no exciting news to tell you of, it's jusst been another relaxing day in our house, with very little or no housework done.
Bye for now girls, love to you all. Mo xxx

Huia

Huia Report 11 Dec 2011 19:31

Good evening girls.

Yesterday I drove down to Hamilton, about 1 and a half hours, for a Christmas lunch. It was supposed to be from 1.30 to 4.00 but some people were late arriving and the chicken wings took ages to barbeque so it must have been about 2.30 before we started eating! Luckily I had stopped at Huntly on the way down for a mini pizza and a drink of hot chocolate, not to mention the other reason for a stop.

There were several salads, and lots of other salad things to make your own - tomatoes, beetroot, grated carrot, cucumber - so I made sure I ate those. There werent too many fattening things and this morning I find I have lost 500gms.

This afternoon I am working in the Hospice shop again and next day there is a morning tea for volunteers at the Hospice in Manurewa. The following day is the Christmas lunch in Phil's home. What a mad whirl. I just hope these 2 things dont have too much fattening food to tempt me.

I have posted a few Christmas cards but they will probably be late arriving so please dont think I have forgotten you.

Huia.

Hello Huia,
Well done on the weight loss, you are doing very well love.
It sounds like you are going to be a very busy bee over the next few days, so you will need to eat to keep your energy levels up.
But then you know what you can or can't eat now dont you, so just enjoy it.
Are you seeing your family over the christmas period. I do hope so, I don't like to think of you being on your own.
Whats your weather been like over there?.
I spoke to my cousin in OZ the other evening, and she said they had had lots of rain, but it was not cold over there.

Sylvia, how are you now sweetheart. I hope that the physio is still pleased with your progress.
You have done so well with it,haven't you.
Not long now till you go to your friends house on the island is it.
Will you be seeing MJ at all in the foreseeable (sp) future. I bet he is getting very big now.
Our baby Lilly will be one in January. This year has flown by, and it doesn't seem possible that she is now almost a year old.

Nearly time for me to get ready for bed, so I will say good night god bless you all. Mo xxx

Huia, what a busy bee you are, all this socialising.

Mo it doesn't seem possible that Lily is a year old, where does the time go? Bless her I bet she is cute, they are lovely at that age.

I hope Marie is OK as well, it does seem a long time since we heard anything.

We went out for lunch today, met our friends in Ross on Wye for a carvery and to exchange presents. Had a nice meal, 3 courses, home made pate to start then roast beef and all the vegetables etc and the sticky toffee pudding. I shant be getting on the scales tomorrow. It was nice to meet up anyway and catch up with their news. Next Thursday we are out with golf friend for a Chinese and the following weekend we are down at our daughters.
